Crafting Wood and Leather

My name is Tim, and I’ve spent my life working with my hands. Wood and leather have always been more than materials to me — they’re a way to slow down, focus, and create something real in a world that doesn’t always make sense.

I’m a Navy veteran and a former corpsman. My time in service shaped me in ways I’m still learning to understand. Life after the military brought its own battles — injuries, medical challenges, and losses that changed the course of my life. Through all of it, creating things has been the one place where I’ve always found steady ground.

Big Tim’s Timber & Hide grew out of that need for purpose and peace. I’m permanently disabled now, so I work at a pace my body can handle. Every piece I make is handcrafted slowly and intentionally. I don’t rush the process, and I don’t mass‑produce anything. I create because it brings me joy, and I share my work because I want these pieces to have a life beyond my workshop.

If you choose to bring something I’ve made into your home, know that it was crafted by someone who has lived a lot of life, who still believes in the value of honest work, and who puts his heart into every stitch and every cut.
